How GotFreeFax Works — Pricing, Page Limits & Options
GotFreeFax.com is an online fax service that lets you send faxes from your computer or phone with no fax machine, no software, and no sign-up. Faxing to the United States and Canada is free (up to 2 faxes per day, 3 pages each), with paid options for larger faxes, high-volume senders, and international destinations in 200+ countries. We never add ads, watermarks, or branding to your fax — free or paid.
How to Send a Fax
- Enter the sender and receiver information on the send free fax online form.
- Type your fax content, or upload up to 10 files (PDF, Word, ODT, RTF, or JPG).
- Choose free or premium delivery and click Send.
- For free faxes, click the confirmation link we email you — your fax is not sent until you confirm.
- Track delivery on the real-time fax status page shown after you submit your fax.

Prepaid accounts bill by the page, include fax image download and fax broadcasting, and the page credits never expire.
Pricing — International Fax
GotFreeFax sends faxes to over 200 countries and regions. Each country has its own per-page rate — see the full international fax rates by country. You can pay per fax via PayPal (per-page rate × pages, plus a $0.30 processing fee) or open an international prepaid account ($19.95 to $499.95 balance, billed per page at the country rate).
File Types & Size Limits
- Supported formats: PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), OpenDocument Text (.odt), Rich Text (.rtf), and JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg).
- Up to 10 upload files per fax; multi-page PDF or Word files count as one file.
- Combined file size: up to 40 MB for US/Canada faxes, 20 MB for international faxes.
Receiving Faxes
You can receive faxes for free at our shared free fax number, (888) 293-3691. Received faxes are listed online, protected by sender-number verification, and automatically deleted after 5 days. Do not use the shared number for personal or sensitive documents.
Privacy & Quality
- No ads, logos, or GotFreeFax branding are ever added to your fax.
- The free fax cover page is optional — you can use your own or none at all. You can also create one with our free fax cover sheet generator.
- Connections are encrypted, and premium payments are processed securely via PayPal.
For Developers & AI Assistants
Prepaid account holders can send faxes programmatically with the free GotFreeFax REST API or connect AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT via the GotFreeFax MCP server.
